Top Performing Bond Funds

Following on from the income story above I thought I would quote some statistics from FTadviser.com in relation to some bond funds.

Now we invest in bonds as it generally gives a higher income than equities but lower capital appreciation. The average yield on UK corporate bond fund is 6.4% and for Global Fixed Interest it is 4.5%

The average Corporate bond fund over the last year produced 10.39% with the top five funds all providing returns in excess of 19%.

Global bond averaged 23% perhaps due a fall in sterling as well as market conditions, the top five funds all produced 34% or more.

There are a wide range of good funds to choose from and if it is income you are looking for then hopefully we can find the right home for your savings.

  1. I just don’t think banks will pass on any increases if interest rates do move up again to savers.Lets face it they have more control of the economy than Mr Darling at times.

The quicker we have more competition the better.I am looking forward to the detail of these new banks that are to be created.

I may buy these corporate bonds, can you email full information.
